Quick solutions to common makeup problemsUpdated a month ago
Exfoliation - adding an exfoliating cleanser to your routine once or twice weekly (depending on your skin) to remove any dead skin cells and build-up of oils which can cause foundation to gather / cling or not sit well on the skin. We recommend DuoCleanse - Cleanse & Exfoliate.
Waiting between layers: apply your moisturizer and serum and let it sink in for a few minutes before applying your foundation products to avoid pilling. You can also try applying less product of using less rich/thick products underneath foundation if it is sliding off or if you have oily/combination skin. e.g. use Cloud Cream at night only
Choose products to suit your skin type – The problem could be that the products (primer and foundation) just aren't a good match for your skin type. If you have oily skin you might want to look for foundations that are matte or control oil, if you have dry skin then you might want to look for foundations that are hydrating or dewy.
Mixing silicone and water based products - it could be that the primer and foundation don't work well together. If one is water based and silicone based, this can cause issues. It's best to stick to water + water or silicone + silicone!
