Hydration/Preparation

Make sure to always prep and hydrate the skin, as dehydrated skin can show more lines. Mature skin can sometimes also be on the dry side so hydration is key.

We recommend using Hydrate & Hold, HydraGlo and Cloud Cream and a lightweight primer such as Beauty Base, before applying any foundation or concealer. 

Use your products sparingly

When it comes to foundation, try start with less and build up as you need it and as you prefer to wear your makeup. Remember, the most important thing is that you feel good, so if you prefer full coverage, we're all for it! 

If you find makeup sits in any fine lines, we would recommend using lightweight products for your foundation and concealer. The below all look amazing on mature skin;

Brighten up concealer

Use a light dusting of powder and build as required

Using too much powder can cause dryness and therefore cause product to sit in any lines and look a bit stagnant. A fine, loose powder like Velvet Veil, can help control shine without impacting your lovely makeup.

Avoid shimmery products near fine lines

Highlighter and shimmery/glowy blush can look absolutely stunning on mature skin, but we would advise to avoid using too much in areas where you have some lines. Highlighter draws attention to a specific area and can sometimes make lines look more prominent. Again, if this is what you prefer, that's totally fine :) We would recommend a nice cream blush like our Cream Luxe to give the cheeks a nice pop of colour.
