What is a colour corrector and how does it work?Updated 9 days ago
A colour corrector is a makeup product designed to neutralise specific discolorations in your skin, such as redness, dark circles, or pigmentation. The idea is to use the corrector to cancel out the unwanted tones before applying your regular concealer or foundation, ensuring a smoother, more even complexion.
How do I use a colour corrector?
Peach/Orange: Cancels out blue or purple undertones (great for dark circles under the eyes)
- Apply Before Concealer or Foundation: Dab the colour corrector lightly onto the problem areas, such as under the eyes or on redness. Use your finger, a brush, or a sponge to gently blend it out.
Follow Up with Foundation/Concealer: After blending in your colour corrector, apply your usual foundation or concealer over it. The colour corrector will cancel out the unwanted tones, and the foundation will create an even base without the need for extra coverage.
